'70 vs. '74 headlamp buckets
« on: December 30, 2015 - 09:44:56 PM »
Hey guys, I am redoing a '74 cuda and have a question.  I'm missing '74 style headlamp buckets, but have a couple of rotted '70 fenders that have solid headlamp buckets still attached.  So I am wondering if those will work on my '74 fenders, or should I hold out for a set of '74 fixtures?  The rest of my grill is staying '74 style.  Appreciate any thoughts - thanks!
Bill

I don't if this will help you much but I had to use a '74 fender. I have left '70 fender and a right '74 fender. It was years ago but I don't remember doing anything to it so it would fit the '70 grill.

I think Alan said that the 70 headlight bucket sits back a little farther.  I have 72-74 fenders on mine and they worked out fine.

Thanks for the replies!  The depth appears to be the same on the fender structure, so I am thinking any difference would be in the headlamp bucket fixture.  Much obliged,
Bill
