Rear suspension rebuild
« on: July 07, 2014 - 11:27:35 AM »
Hello everyone,

I'm looking to replace my rear suspension i.e. springs, shackles, hangers and u-bolts.  I know ESPO has a very good reputation.  Has anyone purchased their U-bolts?  Are they flat with the waffles grade under the curve?  I'm seeing the bolts for sale via many vendors and the prices vary greatly.  Would love to hear everyone's opinion.

Also, regarding shackles, should I go with Hotchkis or just stock style with poly bushings?

This is a street driven car ONLY.  No auto-crossing or drag racing.

Thank you in advance.

I guess I am not a purist in most of the builds I have done , I never reuse U bolts but used std round ones available locally for $6 each not the flattened ones where it goes over the axle , stock hangers with poly bushings has always worked well for me .
