valve cover gaskets

Who makes the best gasket for the 440 with stock manifolds. I have the typical passenger side problem with heat causing the gasket to breakdown and leak. I used the Moroso blue gasket with steel core and they seal very well but can't handle the heat. However it lasted 2 years when I used the motorhome exhaust gasket to shield the valve cover but the eshaust gasket started leaking and had to replace with a standard gasket. Shortly after the valve cover started leaking. See attached.

I remember a post of someone or some company finally making a valve cover gasket that will not leak.  I think it was within the last 2 years.  Anyone remember that?

Hmm, just looked at their catalog and there is a note for their gasket application "For use on heads with machined gasket surface using cast or fabricated valve covers"  Stock heads are not machined gasket surface and I use stamped steel valve cover.  So I guess this would not work for me.  Maybe this was the solution for the cast valve covers folks use. 
Anyone use Superformance valve cover gaskets?  What say you?

I think I'll try the Mancini gaskets and see if they work. I read about the super gaskets and the comments about flat surfaces so they are out. I've had cork gaskets last a long time but they will eventually shrink and split and leak.

Are you going to try the Carbon X?  Its made by Superformance, but looks like its for stock heads and valve covers.  Let us know how it works out.  Something Id like to try.  Thanks

I have tried blue, cometic, and various expensive others on the  stamped covers on my 440:   Quality cork is the only ones that would not leak.  Cork works becuase it absorbs oil and swells in order to seal uneven surfaces.  Rubber ones were the absolute worse

To me, if they get old and leak after 2-3 years, I just change them out

Yep I put a cork gasket on as a temp until the carbon x gasket shows up and there is no leak. Just don't like the mess and smell and the potential of a fire when it finally does leak.
