to many options
« on: July 25, 2014 - 01:59:25 AM »
to many different ways to do things.....

here are my options, i just dont know which one to go for....2009 r/t and "customize" it myself, ie 426, blower, etc......OR sell current 2011 se and buy a 70 something cuda like i want and build from gound up the way i want it, but suffer driving my wifes car while my car is under construction, OR keep the SE buy the block i want..build it...then when engine is done, sell the 2011 and buy the 70 something, throw the engine in and call it good....OR buy a 70 something cuda allready restored....and pay more money making it the way i want it.....mind you im not made out of money by anymeans, just a large amount of passion for these cars...and i feel overwhelmed by it all sometimes..

of all those I like sell the new buy the old and build it the way you want.  ive always been willing to sacrifice the daily driver to have the perfect weekend toys.  or build the engine on the side first is good too.  buying an already restored may actually be cheaper in the long run though too...

Definitely sell the 2011 and buy the Cuda you have always wanted.  The question then becomes how much skill do you have (mechanically, body, interior) to do it yourself vs. outsourcing the work which costs big bucks.  Keep in mind Mopar parts are 3x Cheby and Fierds  The advantage of building up from scratch is you know everything in that car and a sense of pride you did it yourself.  I have always believed you buy the best car your can afford and go from there.
