Great work Per! I read the whole thread and can commiserate as mine was pretty much the same, but I never had to get into the roof or drip rails; although I did fabricate and bond in an extra roof bow to help prevent "oilcanning" in the roof. You show great stamina and ability to improvise and being across the ocean from parts makes that a very important tool in your great restoration of this car. As you mentioned, it would take a king's ransom to pay a body shop to do this and you'll be quietly proud the day it's done and you can look at what you've gotten and accomplished. Great story and great pics and work. Keep them coming!  :2thumbs:

soundcontrol: Yes, that is Volvo's weld through primer. It is really great, the arc just goes straight through it. I bought it at Bilia in Malmö in October last year. I think it is this one http://www.volvozone.eu/en/169386-welding-primer-volvo-31385366.html, but I also had some trouble to get hold of it, I think they switched product number at some point. I can probably find out more information about it for you if you can't find it.

jimynick: Thank you for the kind comments!  :) The ocean between all new parts makes this more interesting to say the least.. I have to not only consider the money involved, but also the time to get parts, sometimes three months for big parts going in a container. As for the stamina, I can only say that I'm exhausted constantly and the only thing pushing me forwards at the moment is the thought of one day driving this car. I sold my last mopar in the summer of 2015 and I miss the sound, smell and feel of a real proper muscle car.
