727 is shifting soft and to quick. 1-2, 2-3 at around 10mph.

Sounds like the linkage needs to be adjusted

adjust the kickdown linkage so the lever & linkage are pushed all the way backward [toward the firewall] at full throttle , there are threaded rods in the linkage & you may have to use a short bolt in the slide to get enough adjustment
