re-installing a Steering box and connecting steering linkage
« on: March 04, 2012 - 01:49:28 AM »
I finally got the steering box out of the Cuda, and its getting sent off to feel firm for a stage III rebuilt. Now, how do I put it back in. I am mostly concern with the proper alignment of the steering wheel, steering linkage, and the ailment of the pitman arm on reinstalling it.  This is my first build and I am somewhat of novice, well the truth is I am novice.  :clueless:

if all you did was pull the center link off the pitman arn  & remove the pitman arm from the steering box & remove the column ...... then the pitman arm can only go back on one way  as it has 4 master splines &  the coupler on the column is also master splined . if you removed the column from the coupler then you have a 505/50 chance of reassembling it correctly
