Air conditioning

After frying this weekend I am starting to look at getting the A/C going in my '71 Challenger.  I have read a little bit about both Classic Auto Air and Vintage Air.  My car originally came with A/C and has the ductwork, air box, etc. but not the compressor or lines in the engine bay.  I am leaning towards getting a totally new system rather than trying to fix/piece together what I have.  I am not concerned with originality.  Does anyone have experiences, problems or anything to report about either system from Classic or Vintage?

Just put a vintage air kit in my cuda; have not charged it up yet. Yes, remove all of your old system and get the Vintage air; I have been told that it is the best, and I can say that it did fit perfectly without any problems. And the little Sanden compressor is about 1/4 the size of the original Harley V twin comp.  It comes with detailed instructions and I can advise if you want.

I have replaced all the under-hood components and has worked out great for me. The new Sanden pumps are great and are quiet and produce less drag than the originals. A pump, mounting brackets, a hose kit and clutch switch is all you need. You can drop your plenum box and rebuild it cheaply.

I bought the complete underhood set-up from Classic air for my 71 Cuda. Fit perfect and looks good.
