Is anybody going? I was there last year on the Saturday. Is there much going on Friday? Could go a day earlier this year. Right now the weather forecast is perfect but it's still two weeks away and that could all change. If the weather is good I think I'll take the car.

Friday is the day I always go as that is the street party where they close down main street and all the cars park.  Starts about 5 and runs until 10 I think.  Definitely have to get there early if you want to be your car on the road though as they start lining up in the morning.
