Radiator Original Black Look/Cool New Small Block Section

Just saw this section and this is great.  Especially for a learn as you go guy like me.

QUESTION:  Who sells replica radiators 26" for small block 340 72 Challenger.  I want to keep the black look and as close to original as possible. 

I have the original but too costly to repair.  But I will keep in storage.

It's way cheaper to re-core an original rad then buy a reproduction. It will cost around $400 for a re-core. At least double for a repro...if one is even available. You can probably find one at a parts store but it will be generic and won't look correct.

When did you last price a re-core? I was expecting $400 but apparently the cost of brass & copper has risen quite a bit & the quote to re-core a 26" radiator with a 4 row high efficiency core came in at $675... I had him rod out my existing core as well as he could... Still runs a little warm on 105+ days but not Hot.. In a couple years I'll likely have to step up...

I just had a 26" heavy duty K-core rad done and it was $440 plus tax.
