If I'm not mistaken,
The first two are the bracket for the spare tire mounted on the trunk floor.
The other two pics are of a steering column bracket to protect the wiring harness.

On the first one I can agree with Tom that it's for the spare tire hold down as I have a spare one somehow.

Never seen the second one, or maybe I just haven't looked recently!

Fist one not sure but I agree second is spare tire hold down for trunk floor pan , second is for steering column to hide/protect the wires.

Brad,
the first one is a side shot of the spare tire hold down.

To add to that. The spare tire hold down brackets angle (dog leg) like that for hard tops. For convertibles, they are a straight piece. The tire doesn't go in as far back in the trunk because the convertible top rests inside just behind the back seat when down.

I hear ya.  :iagree:

I would think there is a way to possibly bolt it in, even is small side tabs where attached/welded to the bracket then bolts to the trunk. With a spare tire in place, nobody would see it anyway. And if painted to match the rest of the trunk, might not look too bad.
