I just filed of the backside 'peen' of the fratzog, and for reattaching, I put the fratzog back in place and dripped a couple drops of crazy glue from the backside to hold them in. Been two or three years now and they are still in place.

I used the DMT woodgrain vinyl for the door inserts, as-well-as for the console plate; and they are excellent.  Regarding the door inserts:  I ground down the peened studs on the backside of the plate for the Fratzog, then applied the new vinyl, and then re-installed the Fratzog emblem, then applied some JB Weld.  After hardening, I ground down the the bead smooth, and all was good.  See photos.

Same thing here but I applied a very small amount of clear silicon to the pins with a took pick.  The silicone pushed out the sides in a couple places.(very very small amount)  Once it was completely dry, the excess came right off with a razor blade.
