WIW - '70 AAR Tribute

I'm interested in hearing what you think this '70 Barracuda is worth.  VIN is BH23G0E108284, recently restored, 340 6-pack.  Also, if anyone is in near Yarmouth, ME I would greatly appreciate it if you could run by and see it in person.

if the frame off was done well, it is priced right IMO. at the end of the day, it's still a clone, but a nice looking one at that $35-40K

I don't like the small radiator but on the plus side there is strong evidence the guy started with a California car.... ECS look at the trunk pictures...

I was thinking the same about the radiator.  I'm not familar with '70 CA Barracuda trunks, care to enlighten me?

ECS = Evaporative Control System... The pipe in the trunk is the vapor separator for that system....

I'm guessing the reserve is 35 to 40K, about an hour left. Be interesting to watch the final minutes.

Looking the car over there are some details that should be sorted but overall it looks like a damn nice clone...  A car you can enjoy driving, take allot of pride in but not stress out because it's super rare...

Thank you guys for your comments as I'm trying to get a feel for a fair price, which for a clone maybe impossible.  If I run the VIN ('70 B'Cuda 318 car, which it is not) through Hagerty a #3 is $25,800 and #2 is $39,300.  Not sure it is a #2, but it sure looks nice.  Backstory is it was owned by a guy in FLA, restored over 5 yrs and $75k, he passed away, his widow drove it/trailered it to Maine and traded it in on a Ford Edge.  How do you determine a value of a really good restoration of a 318 car($34k ish) now made to look like an AAR ($80k+)?

It's a modified 318 car. You judge the price by the value of the parts and the quality of the work.
Their asking price is on the high side. :2cents:

incorrect for '70 though right? my '70 has a 1/4" (3/8"?) line that runs up and loops back on itself and no pipe

Yours is a 49 state car, not a California car so it has no ECS.... In 71 all 50 states got it but 70 was California only...

that makes total sense and now resolves it in my head. I had seen a few '70s with it, but always thought it was a '71 onward thing. Thanks for helping clarify!
