Side marker housing 70 cuda

Hey, i noticed that on most 70 cudas i have seen, that the side marker housings or the trim around the side markers (not sure what it's called) are the same color as the car it self. the ones on my car are Chrome tho. So i was wondering if that was option back then or if the previous owner of my car was just really into Chrome, which would explain the chrome hood inserts!!

No year or option on any Cuda or Challenger had chromed sidemarker bezels.

  I'm pretty certain that 1970 and 1971 Challenger's had chrome side marker light bezels standard.

 But cudas didn't, right? I gonna paint mine like the rest of the car anyways but I'm just curios.
