4 Speed Shifter Boot
« on: September 29, 2014 - 01:43:39 PM »
I'm looking at getting a replacement for my shifter boot for my 71 Cuda 4 speed with console.   Its ripped and needs to go.    I see a couple different brands out there at different prices.   Any suggestions on the best one to get and from where?    I'd really like a custom one but can't seem to find any.

See what Brewer's Performance carries, I know they've become a one stop shop for 4 speed parts to most members.

There are some cheaper ones out there that don't have the bottom metal plate moulded into the rubber. Ask beofre you purchase.

I replaced my NOS boot because it was so stiff it would shift out of 2nd gear by itself.
It was like a strong rubber band and would stretch to 2nd but when the rpms were right, pop neutral...

The OEM is still available from chrysler but the rubber is a bit too hard and will split. We have the aftermarket in stock. roughly 60.00 shipped to you with in the USA

Hey Dave,
So your product isn't the thick stuff that splits?
I also need the chrome trim ring for it.

Thanks,
Tom
