auto trans pan baffles
« on: October 04, 2014 - 11:09:30 AM »
So when we talk about road racing and autocrossing these cars, one of the first things we worry about is oil sloshing in the pan so we install special oil pans to remedy this, what about auto trans fluid sloshing?  On my autox challenger it will push a little fluid out of the dipstick tube on each run so I took out the dipstick and installed a cap. The fluid in the trans has got to be moving around a lot and the pan is shallow??? I don't think I have felt it slip but sometimes I can hear the engine rev up like it could be slipping but just always thought is was a little "inside" tire slippage???  One of the little voices in my head was asking me that last night....sometimes I hate those little voices.

deeper pan would be a good idea but if you get fluid up the dip stick tube baffles might be a great idea !!
