Seat belt restoration
« on: October 06, 2014 - 10:26:01 PM »
I have been waiting for XV to get in their seat belt sets, but am getting a bit impatient. I at least have the old nasty front ones that i can clean up and install. Has anyone come up with a good process for cleaning and re-dyeing the belts? My plastic pieces are in tough shape also. Anyone go through this process already that can offer up a bit of insight?

There's a dye you can buy at Michael's called Rit.

I re did my seat belts with it. Came out pretty good.
The top edges need a touch up again where they were faded most.
