Dana 60, True Trac vs Track Lock

Anybody know the difference, and what is best for the street ? Also any opinions on upgrading to Moser axles ? Every time I try to call Cass @ DR DIFF the line is busy. Thanks guys.  :cheers:

I bought a Dana True Trac from Dr. Diff.

It kicks a$$. 3.54. Moser BB chev yoke.

No wierd noises or issues.

Cass replied to my e mail, recommended True Trac over 425 HP, thats how were going.

I too got a Dana from Cass with upgraded axle bearings axles and the tru trac. I'm REALLY impressed on how it works. First time I lit into it I was all ready to counter steer to keep the rear end going straight and was surprised/impressed that I didn't need to at all.  :burnout:

I guess my reply never posted  :pullinghair:
Anyway the Tru Trac is far better , it uses gear pitch to lock under power & release with input from the wheels , this allow full use of power in turns but also allows for different wheel speeds without spinning one tire usually the inside one , very simple design really .
 Track lock is a clutch system that requires power to unlock the axles in turns , nicknamed Cracklock as it was not overly strong

Challenger - You`ll wish You Hadn`t
