Any Judas Priest fans?
« on: October 24, 2014 - 12:47:38 PM »
I went to see Priest with Steel Panther last week. These were taken with a point and shoot, but since we had fifth row some of them are really cool.

Yeah I have seen them many times and have been a fan since the 80's  . . . . always a difficult band for a single guitar player like me to try to play when they have 2 lead guitar players.  I see KK Downing was not there . . . only 3 of the original members still jamming!

Some awesome pics!

They opened for Led Zeppelin on Day on the Green in 76'.

They got boo'd at then.
People weren't ready for Heavy Metal then.

Like them now.

Thanks! Yeah, KK has been gone for several years.  Richie Faulkner is fantastic though.

Im a priest fan!  I was totally bummed out when they put out their tour dates and the closest show was in Indiana, 3+ hours away!  I have listened to their new album and it sounds pretty solid.   I listen to new releases on Rdio.com for free to see if I like it before I buy it.  Great site to listen to entire albums instead of Pandora choosing random music for you.

I went and saw The Pretty Reckless last night in Chicago at the House of Blues.  Awesome band!  The singer is smoking hot, and she has a killer voice.  The band is great.  The guitarist is unbelievable awesome!  The did a 7 minute drum solo during the encore.  They played the music heavier than the album sounds.  The singer played Cindy LooHoo on the Grinch Who Stole Christmas with Jim Carey.  She was also in Gossip Girls.   Never saw it.  Taylor Momson.  HOT, HOT, HOT.   Check it out if your into hard rocking and metal music.

I like them too. I haven't been able to check them out live. I think I'd get some good shots ;-) Also on my list would be Halestorm because Lzzy is awesome.

Definitely a fan. Only saw them live once. It was in Winnipeg, Manitoba back in 85 or 86. Bon Jovi opened for them. Priest put on a great show. Bon Jovi only had one hit at the time, so they played it twice.

HUGE fan here.
Growing up,  :stirpot: every trip of mine to ( select one, don't matter, really, did em all multiple times' ): Emergency Room, Psych Ward; or jail ALL involved Judas Priest in some way, big or small!  I am d*mn lucky to be alive, despite their beat and energy !!!
I still use 'em to get me through long, interstate cruises every 4-5 weeks.

Yes!  I've been spinning the new record and really digging it.   I'll be seeing them next month in Los Angeles and can't wait!
