1970 V code - price it out to finish
« on: October 26, 2014 - 01:29:35 PM »

I think this guy is nuts because the amount of money needed to finish will basically take you over the value of the car.

No interior, motor is not original and is suspect, no carbs for six pack, etc. Lots left to do and the bid is at 24k and he wants 35k for buy it now!!!

But its a V-code rally red rubber bumpered drag pack car.
Thats gotta count for at least another $25k over the typical slant six selling in the same condition.
Numbers matching or not.
I think if it had the matching motor it would be selling for a LOT more.

Fully restored to a number one condition this car would top out a $75K-$80K on a VERY GOOD day....most likely take a long time to sell at that price because, as mentioned, collectors with larger amounts of cash are a lot more picky on what they buy.
In this case not being numbers matching hurts when there is always a selection of 1970 V code Cudas for sale at any time.

The colour/options on this one are pretty hard to beat, only thing missing is the shaker option. :2cents:

If you found this car in the "rusted-out" state, you would most likely have $35K into it to get it to it's current condition, so really you're not losing out, but you're certainly not saving money either. :nono:
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !
