Classic performance disc kit ??
« on: November 03, 2014 - 06:13:04 PM »
Looking to replace my manual drums on my 72 challenger and looked at the classic performance drum to disc kit, seems priced right and comes with a power brake booster. Anybody have any thoughts on this kit ? Part# 6374CBK-S   thanks !

If it were me, I would find a set of original Mopar 73-74 E/A Body disc brake spindles  and use the Cordoba caliper brackets ( pin style)  and then use the bigger rotor. I used this on my car for a couple years with manual brakes , worked great. The plus with manual brakes is you can use what ever cam you want and not worry about vacuum to operate the booster .  I used DrDiff's 1 1/32 bore master cylinder.  There has been some issues with repoped spindles  FYI... http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=101912.0

I would use the stock Mopar parts, tried and true...
