True Trac all the way get's my vote. Not a whisper or chatter or clunking.

I read on a magazine they are so reliable, you'll be in your grave many years from now (hopefully) and it will outlive you.

I guess I am the sole supporter of a spool on the street. I am running a Dana with 4:10's and a spool with 18" wide slicks. I have never been able to tell it has a spool in it. It never chirps at all.  It has been in the car about 10 years now with no issues....  And at the track, it goes straight....   :burnout:

What tires are you running and what qualifys as "street"?

Will you want to parallel park or pull into a tight parknig spot with a spool, probably not unless you have hard tires that will slip without much protest. By contrast, if you are an occasional driver going to parkign lot shows with ample room, you may never notice.

When I had slicks and a spool in my drag car, it wanted to grab enough that pit parking was occasionally a pain. Pushing the car around a corner into or out ofhte garage, forget it.  But, it did leave cool black marks every time it cornered.

My vote is the Tru Trac for street use for all the reasons listed above

I wouldn't consider a spool on anything I planned to enjoy driving on the street.  :2cents:

Little mud truck, cheapo sleeper, maybe in something like that..

Spooling is fun, though. :burnout:

Oh, THAT kind of spool...

Personally, I'd just go with a Sure-Grip...Drivability is somewhat lost when you commit to a spool.
