TKO 500 owners.  How far from the outside lip of the main seal on the transmission and the beginning of the driveshaft yoke do you have (installed)

When I ordered mine, I may have given the length of the driveshaft a little short, although I did get the measurement with the car with all four wheels on the ground.

 Sure does look like the drive shaft should go further into the tranny splines.  I have driven it several hundred miles this way, no issues so far

It depends on whose set-up your are running.  The Hurst can get as close as 1/2" because of the rear machining on the seal area for the shaft.  Keisler, I have seen as much as 1 1/4" of slip yoke showing.  The more showing - the more chance for a vibration.

When we where working on the kits we actually measured .25 inches of movement with suspension movement, the was movement in the vertical (up and down) movement.  We could not measure the axial windup of the rear end trying to re-arch the springs but the movement is there and is added to the up and down motion.  The guys from Inland Empire Drive Shaft cautioned us on the amount of slip yoke that was showing while the development of the tail housing machining.  To much slip yoke showing and you can develop a very intense vibration.  The is true of any drive shaft.
