Tracked down the mfg./supplier, this gives a little more info on the product. Having been in the air conditioning installation, service and repair industry for the last 40 plus years I have been praying for someone to develop this type of compressor for cars. The possibility' s of this on Street Rods, Restomods, Customs is awesome. This is nothing more than a compressor like in your refrigerator in the kitchen. It is hermetically sealed, meaning no seals to leak . The control box is a power inverter, 9 thru 24 volts to 110 volts. The interesting thing is they figured out how to use R134A refrigerant. The bad is you can't mount the compressor or box in the trunk or interior, they need air flow to cool them, they get real hot. I'll give updates as I research further. Now, who can I talk into letting me install one,   :dunno:     http://www.seanhylandmotorsport.com/SHM-electric-air-conditioning-compressor-3753
