I think he means the socket the bulb goes in at the tail light.

You know at the back of the car there are tail lights and "reverse" lights. He needs the socket for one of THOSE reverse lights

Ahh the 1156 special.

Those you would need to pull off another car although I seem to remember seeing those at a local auto parts shop.

I already found him an aftermarket socket, but as he points out, he wants an original appearing one...I have a whole harness, but I'm sure someone will have just a socket...
