K member question
« on: January 09, 2015 - 02:58:20 PM »
Cant seem to search for "k member"  ( "words have to be at least two characters long")....so.....

Can someone clairify for me...

Different k member between small bock and big block.....but are the k members different between say my 72 fish and a 73 Dart Swinger?

My son found a 72 Swinger not quite done project that has a newly rebuilt 383 big block and 727 in it for not a lot of money......(he and I are starting to look for a project car or something to play with for him)......big block for a new driver would be bad news.....for a new driver that is 16 even worse....and a new driver that is 16 and has MY blood in his veins???   NO WAY.   LOL

He suggested we buy the car and swap the big block into mine and the 318 from the fish into his.

Not that my 318 is a stocker.....its a ripper up top IMHO.....but at least it wouldn't be a big block....LOL

It would mean a substantial amount of work on both cars....and some parts on my car I really like.....(dougs headers, other stuff).... and not sure I am ready to have two project cars at once...LOL

But just entertaining the concept......LOL

You got it all wrong. His 383 will bolt directly onto your 318 K Frame with no issues what so ever  :2thumbs: Sounds like a weekend job :drunk:
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !
