70 Challenger Fender Emblem Location
« on: December 30, 2014 - 05:29:54 PM »
Ok, I have been hunting around and I can not find any dimensions for the location of the Challenger and R/T emblem for the fender?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks, Kurt

I was told by Dave from Roseville that older Year One catalogs used to have this information.  I don't have one, so if anyone else out there does, and can look for me, I would appreciate it.

Thanks Dave, that is what I was saying does not look right. Perhaps it was an early design, but on the cars I see, the R/T is centered below the Challenger, and there are no dimensions from the fenders edge.

Come on guys, someone surly can measure this for me!!!  I mostly need the location of the "Challenger" emblem from the doors edge and above the body line.  I will center the "R/T" badge below it and the same distance from from the body line.

Thanks in advance, Kurt

Oddly enough the cuda-challenger restoration guide doesn't have any emblem location info. The 2005 Yearone catalogue on page 344 shows the Challenger emblem with the RT emblem centered below. Both are appear to be the same distance (about 1") above and below the fenderline(bottom of C). hope it helps

The picture posted by "Dutch" is correct. The other side has the same dimensions. The picture is from an original 70 r/t Challenger Conv restored by Muscle Car Restorations. www.musclecarestorations.com. look for it in the completed projects section.

Thanks for all the info guys!  I got the Challenger emblems on, but since I bought them and the R/T emblems from the dealer back in 1982, the protective paper on the R/T emblems dried out. So I had to order some new 0.030 thick black foam tape from a guy on eBay and it should be here today or tomorrow.  I will post some pictures after I get them on.
