    72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

    1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

    ok...Ron Pratte, now this, starting to make me believe WWIII is coming (financial warfare) and all these high tax bracket guys know something us low level peons don't. :clueless:

    Been wondering the same thing. Seems like several collections selling lately. Sure glad I don't have a multi million dollar collection  :smilielol:

    Well for the average guy he figures....not using-enjoying my classic car anymore maybe I can put the money towards something else BUT if you're RICH then that "my classic car" turns out to be a collection of classic cars. I can see that happening, you know getting bored and maybe putting money towards your latest interest. :dunno:

    He's smart, in that prices are at an all time high, or close to it.

    I saw an interview with him.  He said his family wasn't interested in the collection so he want to sell it before he passes on. I think I would do the same thing if I was in his shoes.

    A lot of talk about collectors selling their cars. But who's buying them? At those prices, other collectors. No need to panic. It's just the rich trading toys.

    Saw an article that he is building an ATV park in Arizona and a high class home development in Idaho-so he wanted to liquidate his collection.

    Typical rich guys not being grateful and satisfied with what they have.  To some these cars are just investments, buy low and sell high with no emotional ties to the cars.  Others will suddenly have a desire go hard to accumulate every car they can, get bored, then sell them for their next craving.  Rarely do they show an heart-felt interest.  Jay Leno is the rare exception.

    I'll bet Jay turns his collection into a museum, before he sells them individually.
