Cudaguy's car has left my shop
« on: February 07, 2015 - 02:10:56 AM »
He flew in from Hawaii and He his dad, his uncle, and his father inlaw came by . We took the cuda to the muffler shop and had 3 inch exhaust installed with an X pipe.   While waiting for the install, we went to a friend of mines speed shop and he bought some HP goodies at a discounted rate for future enhancements.  We will be installing a new tank with a sump added and #10 an fuel supply line to the carb, through a magnafuel regulator, with 8 an lines to the car.

Don had never driven his car except for on my gravel road  and a 323   8 2/4 rear.  I did him a narrowed dana with 373's and a powerlock  So before we loaded up to go to the muffler shop, I took him out to the blacktop roads to show him what he has now. I was quick to show him that T/A radials will not work at all for this car.  in any gear the car will try to do a 180 on you right away.  even at 50 in 3rd gear it will loose traction and try to spin you around, so he realized that the would be putting some sticky streets on the back and a more narrower tire on the front.  I used the stealth cnc ported heads done by modern cylinder head servics, did some extra work to them, and he can run 92 pump gas. The combination on his build we did turned out to be more than he expected, and he was very pleased.

If you go to his facebook page, he posted up some pictures of his car.   I am expecting my 68 dart to be back in my shop tomorrow.

I'm hoping that Don will come and make a post here about his build

Alan

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Alan built me a hell of a engine!!!  Sorry it took me so long to reply I have been racing around my cuda!  That 493 with that solid roller cam is a monster!  I can't post pics right now due to size.  But here is a video of my video my first burnout!
