Went out to my garage the other day and noticed a loonie sized (silver dollar) bubble on my hood. Just curious as to a ballpark amount that a decent body shop might charge to repair this. The paint on the hood is in excellent condition otherwise.

Is it above the carb?

Its more on the passenger side about 15 inches from the windshield. Car was painted 3 years ago and has never been on the road since and always kept in a garage.

Can you take it back to the shop who painted it? They should know what was under it how well was it prepped?

It was painted by a member on this site. But he is 3,000 miles away.

Most body shops will want to spray the entire hood, not spot repair. Not sure what color your car is, but the reds are the most expensive color

Id say 400-700
