The total cost of the restoration on that GTX including purchase price toppled $175K.

The car was sold for about $85K two years ago. The owner cut his losses and let the car go to pay some bills

That's a lot of , i was totally unaware of how much a full ground up restoration would cost, although for my 70 Challenger just wheels, tires, an undercarriage paint, interior fixes and a lot of other minor items easily burdened my budget about 7k... The owner clearly had losses, but i don't think many people who love these cars make profit (some do), it's just that these cars are great and you put money (sometimes a lot) into them, so as in someday you get the experience of owning and driving them..

I enjoy the show but could do without all of the nonsense and bickering. Can't tell you how many times I mute the B.S. and watch the actual work being done on cars. If they don't change the format the show will fade away.  They work on some incredible cars and at least on t.v. do some nice work. Are they the best in the country I doubt it. Haven't seen a GYC car attain O.E. Gold.

Ha ha, I do the same, mute the sound and watch the cars! But there is tons of people that wanna watch the bickering also, same people that watches all the housewife shows, that just bickering without the Mopars.
