Forged crank 340
« on: March 01, 2015 - 11:14:59 AM »
I have been sorta away from the hobby for a while. Can anyone give me an idea what a forged crank 340 that needs a rebuild would be worth these days?
I don't have one but I looked at a car yesterday that will need one. The car owner says he has a date-coded one he could sell me but he seems to be overpriced on everything so i'm just looking for an idea.

Thanks
Darcy

Good morning Darcy!  Don't hold me to this, but years ago my local machine shop guy said the 318 crank was the same as a 340 crank. Stroke is the same, just slightly larger bore. So with that in mind, a 318 crank "should" be the same with all kinds of them are still around. :2cents:

Hi Grant, I did not know the crank was the same. Thanks for that information.
