MX5/Miata seats in Cuda work well
« on: October 08, 2016 - 03:50:14 AM »
I fitted the drivers seat in my Cuda today, very happy, was able to raise is high enough to suit my size yet it doesn't look like the seat is into the roof, could do with a little more lateral support but still, lots better than original

'99-'05 I believe, you will have to adapt either the Mopar slider to the seat base or the other way, I used the Mopar sliders, basically a 3" riser at the rear and a 2" at the front, I'm 5'11 so sat pretty low in the original seats. I'm probably going to use the Mazda sliders on a pair of shaped RHS box section to suit the factory floor holes and cover it with carpet to match floor

Ok, ref the risers, I will be rebuilding it this weekend coming, I need to drop the front 1 3/4" and the rear 1", the seat is sitting a little high, the Mazda seat sliders look like they should be flat/level, the mopar ones are lower at the rear, right now the front of the mazda seat is a little high and overall its a little high.
