The hood blackout is a vinyl decal.  The hood DODGE letters have pins on them.  If you open the hood and look, there will be nuts on the back side of the letters.

That actually would look good with black side stripes .... hmmmmm .... you may be on to something ....   :thinkerg:...

I guess its a stick on right?

Is the D O D G E glued on?

It's a decal, the letters have pins which have nuts on the back side..   The decal is a little tricky, It's fairly large & wants to wrinkle up by the scoops... I fought one for over an hour & wasn't happy with it, now I just go see a sign guy, they do this stuff all day long... Last one I was charged $40 & I didn't even have to get dirty..

And yes I think it would look good/add to the visual appear of your Challenger... Which already looks damn fine IMO...

Talked to Mrs tonight about idea .. she liked it!

Think I will do it .. regardless of paint issue ... I think it would finish it nicely ... with roof and stripe .... great idea .. thanks

And good idea to get someone who does stuff like that often ... I am no good with that stuff!

This a flexing problem to say the least. I had noticed that on another Challenger I had that would not release the hood catch easily and while pulling on it hard it would flex. It could be too much hardener in the bondo as well. If you notice no cracks in the immediate area as the paint mixture was probably the same I would suspect bondo is the culprit. Anyway that is my :2cents:

Probably right.

No other cracks anywhere except what looks like gouge ... (or opened cracked) on body just in front of the trunk where corner rounds ... but it's like 1/16th on an inch long ... almost looks like someone drags something sharp on it .... I thought maybe it happen when they re-attached truck ... lose fingers "oops" thing

But I did get A/M temp and oil pressure gauges in and working like a charm finally today ...  :bananasmi

My son works at sign a shop and is great at detail work .... may fly him and daughter-in-law down for family time ... and put him to work on blackout decal ...  :roflsmiley:

Thanks for all help!!!!!
