70 Barracuda
« on: October 20, 2014 - 06:01:21 PM »
I have put a lot of time and money in this car but it is time to bid adieu.

1970 Barracuda, VIN: BH23N0B148698

There isn't a build sheet or fender tag, car was purchased to do a resto-mod.  I have owned it for 8 yrs and it was purchased out of south Florida.  The original color was B-5 blue with a vinyl top.  As you can see, it is now purple and the paint is about 15 yrs old.  It has scratches, dings, etc but still looks good.  There is rust in the lower quarters, inner fender wells and front floor pans.  The trunk pan has been replaced.

Mechanically, it has been upgraded considerably.  It has a 66 383 with less than 2k miles.  The trans is a Keisler 4L60E conversion and comes with a laptop to control it as all perimeters are changeable.  The rear-end is original and is a posi, 3.23 with drum brakes.  The K-member has been replaced with one from Alterkation and now has rack-and-pinion, Viking coil over, adjustable shocks, and Wilwood brakes.  The rims are Boss 338s with 245/45-18 all around and a matching spare.  The fuel system is from FAST and comes with its own controller as well.  It has ceramic coated headers, 3" stainless exhaust.  Other notable parts are March pulleys, aluminum radiator, electric fan, trans cooler, and all the gauges are Auto Meter.  The ignition is all MSD: pro billet distributor, wires, 6A, coil, and crank trigger.  The trans, EZEFI, suspension, etc has less than 1300 miles on it.  As usual, it comes with additional parts:  Fenders, original gauges, etc.

Plans were to restore it once I retired from the Air Force but now we want to buy a house.  Please ask questions and I am motivated to sale it.  It does need some tuning and what not but I drive it regularly.

My asking price is 42k and thats what I have in it.  I am open to offers but please be reasonable and don't insult both of our intelligence.  I want to sell it but don't need to and I am not interested in trades unless its a 2007-2009 Shelby GT 500 :)

I have more pics so send me an email to kylewhunt1@yahoo.com and put in the subject line Barracuda and I will get the pics out.

The car is located in Goose Creek, SC and I will deliver depending on how far I have to haul it.
