    Got a new bumper from Gene Gregory and it needs a lot work before top coat. Any ideas on a bracket or jig to hold it  off the car while I work on it. Thanks.

    A couple of saw horses probably will do it.  I know they take a lot of prep work.  I had trouble with the primer not flexing especially at the ends of the bumpers.  Make sure you have a very flexible primer. A professional recommended Sherwin-Williams P30.

    Thanks. So far PPG flexible primer seems to work ok. Just need a way to support the bumper and be able to paint it from all angles.

    What if you bolted the bumper brackets to it and then bolted them to a saw horse or 2?

    This is how I am hanging mine.  Mine needed a lot of work too.  But ready for paint now!

    Got it painted but I have had a lot of trouble with adhesion. Now I have a few bubbles on the top side, of course that's the side you can see. Talked to Gene Gregory and he suggest to start over and D.A. the whole bumper with #80 grit paper. Well that's about $400 in material wasted, the flexiblizer for the top coat is $73 a pint!

    I didn't have much luck finding anything that worked. Paint still cracked slightly during assembly.
