Electric Life window openers
« on: March 26, 2015 - 07:44:08 PM »
I have a 1972 Cuda, E-Body, and just installed Electric Life door window openers. Has anyone installed these, if so, confirm, are there only two bolts at the bottom which support and hold the glass? I also don't know if I need to use these small brackets with felt on the ends to support the glass somehow, there are also a couple of these brackets with rubber on the end. Where and how do these brackets go if used with the Electric Life kit at all.

Do you have the original machanism in place on one side?
I assume will that give you some clues…????
Originally .... both the felt (closed to center) and rubber brackets front / aft mounts to the upper part of the door.
The felt pushes the window outwards, the rubber is upper end stop for window.
Hope this helps, and keep us posted with pics..

Thanks for the information. The instructions for the Electric Life is to remove the old channel and parts. The new one is installed, but is completely different and less parts. I have been talking with Travis72 since he has installed a set of these window openers. He is going to sent me some photos once he gets back in town. I have been told the felt and rubber tipped brackets do get installed with the new opener. I plan to check it out tomorrow and see if I can figure out where they should be attached. Thanks George
