426 Hemi Rocker set up

Hi,  Looking at building a from scratch 426, make that 572 Hemi.

Any recommendations on complete Rocker set up cost and brand?  shafts, mounts, rocker arms, etc.

Also any other tips on first Hemi build would be helpful...

I'm also trying to build a HEMI from scratch. I'm picking up a set of aluminum dual plug heads and 1966 block this weekend.  I do need rocker arms, shafts etc. Any advice is welcome.

I know that INDY has a bad rap among some folks, but I am running their roller rocker set up and their 426-1R ported heads with no issues. This engine has been together and seen track duty as well as many years of street cruising since 2003. It is going through a complete refresh/upgrade as we speak. I will raise the performance level a little bt, but I will still run the same heads and rocker set up. INDY also sells stock OE type 426 HEMI rocker assemblies. Just look over the website and see if they have what you need.

BTW - my buddy with the 1969 big block Dart and I drove up to Indy Cylinder Heads 2 weekends ago from Atlanta and picked up his new bullet for the Dart. He ordered and had them build him a brand new all aluminum 572 HEMI.  That thing is SWEET!!!   It was on the dyno when we arrived and we saw it make a couple of pulls. That thing sounded like a fueler motor. Freakin' awesomeness....

Stage V makes nice rockers and the price is reasonable. My buddy installed a 572 Indy Hemi in his 71 Cuda (well actually I did it for him). We dynoed it and it was 100HP down from what Indy claimed. Timing was dead on and the AFR's were right on as well.

My Dart buddy's 572 pulled 784 hp at 6100 rpm right before our eyes. It sounded like a Beast....

784 is what they're supposed to do. Was that on Indy's dyno? I think my friend is going to put the bigger camshaft in, it's got the springs for it already and we think killing some lowend torque will be beneficial.

The INDY magazine ad and their internet ad says the 572 will do 770 HP. The 14 extra was a bonus...  LoL...

Peak torque was 746.6 @ 5200 rpm.

What was the humidity at when you re' dyno'ed it?  What is your elevation?  Indy was at 1600 ft and 30% humidity. What was your water temp at? It may be a little fat where you are at. They really can't do any gimmicks as you assume, their superflow is an older one. A dyno is just a tuning devise amonst others. Try not to compare dyno's. Try tuning at the track. I was at Indy today, to dyno my 572 hemi.  It was as good as Kenny's friends. What headers did you dyno with?  Indy uses a step header. 2 1/2 to 2 3/8ths.  Please do not  try to beat up a company untill you compare all you know. Mine is 10 3/4 -1 compression on 93 octane all in at 35 degrees. they may have used a lot of things different than your dyno set up. I went with a world/siameese steel block.  I also bought some of their blow out specials. 

Mine is only a street car, I can't really race anymore.  It is plenty for what I need in my road runner

We're at less than 1000ft. Carbs came from Indy and they were right on. 2 1/4 inch headers. 35 degrees total advance (checked different settings too) 94 octane. It is what it is. We'll see what it MPH's at next year, anything other than MPH is irrelevant.
I would not pay $100 each for the iron rockers on Mancini's site. The Stage V are cheaper than that and much higher quality.
