Tire Lettering
« on: March 30, 2015 - 01:01:33 PM »
Hmmmm.....This would be a great solution to getting some performance tires and with lettering.  Looks like its around $120 for a set of 4.

:clueless:  I wonder if they are bullet proof.

They are a nice looking tire though. I like the tread design.

So they glue on rubber letters in the font of your choice? Looks pretty awesome for customs.

The 'how to' mentions lightly sanding the sidewall, don't like that...

I'll stick with 15" tires,with factory lettering...

That is my point, there are way better quality tires out there but do not come with lettering.  Imagine a great set of Nitto tires (had them on my '71 Challenger) but with the racing look of lettering!

I've been looking for raised letter tires in 17 inch and the glue on letters is all I have found. You can get red and white stiped sidewalls in most sizes that work on most muscle cars but our E bodys just don't lood right without lettered sidewalls. So that leaves us with a few 15 inch tire options and I'm afraid they will slowly go away.

Those stick-on's look interesting.  I've seen some tires with painted lettering using Sharpie and they don't look bad at all.

I think that is pretty cool.  It does open up options.
