Scattershield Question
« on: March 30, 2015 - 08:22:25 PM »
Has anyone installed a Quicktime scatter shield on an E-body? I am in the process of installing the shield, but the stock torque shaft ball stud doesn't fit on the bracket located on shield (the hole is too small). I don't want to drill out the bracket if there is another ball you can use. Additionally, if I had to drill out the bracket not sure which hole to enlarge. I called Quicktime and didn't get any good information. Also, I was curious if you can use the stock Z bar. I appreciate the help!

I've installed one, but can't answer any of your questions because I used a hydraulic clutch set-up...highly recommended :2thumbs:
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Call into Quicktime, which was purchased by Lakewood about 4 years ago and see if you can talk to Ross.  Ross is the innovator and previous owner of Quicktime Brand.  It's sounds like you may be missing a bracket that bolts to a bracket (yes I said that) that allows you to use the original ball stud and z-bar arrangement.  Good luck and rest assured the Quicktime Bell Housing is a quality piece.
