Dash resto help
« on: April 13, 2015 - 10:46:19 PM »
Well its been a long while since i was on here. After doing a total strip down and restore of my 70 gran coupe 6 years ago, i am going to try and get started on the reassembly. I was gone from here for 5-6 years while i went thru a marriage and divorce, lol. Tons of international traveling, doing new hobbies like motorcycles and firearms and think i am ready to get back to my GC. Everything is stored, bagged and painted, rebuilt and i have all the parts, nothing needs to be bought except. i need the whole dash restored, not sure i want to tackle that. Anyone know who would restore the complete dash at a reasonable price? I have the new complete dash pad and its all there, just needs to be restored.
thanks

If you don't do the turnkey, just do the pad restoration, price isn't too bad, but definitely not cheap.

I was worried about the dash restoration too.  Once I got into it though, it was fun and not very difficult.  It just takes time.  I sent my cluster out to be rebuilt and had the original dash speaker re-coned.  Everything else I was able to do myself.  Hopefully, you took a lot of pictures before disassembly.  If not, that will make it harder but it's still doable.
