Fuel Pump Opinion
« on: April 17, 2015 - 09:20:52 PM »
Looks like all the good pumps are around $120, then I come across this!
Seems like a great buy! Summit said it was because it was not chrome?

I had one of these. They are just a stock replacement pump with a different spec card IMO! I never had any problem with it but I doubt it really put out 120 gal. free flow. Probably more like 60 or 70 gals. We did a rough test when we bought it by cranking it over for 1 minute and collecting all the fuel in a big pitcher then then multiplying the volume by 60 and it was a long way from 120 gals. I don't remember what the volume we collected was ,but it sure wasn't 2 gallons (more like a quart and a half)
but as I said it was a rough test

I'll stick it in, and see how well it maintains pressure when flooring it.
Will report back.

even if you go briefly to 6000, the carb bowls would have to empty first, before
your fuel pump could be a problem.
