seat belts

hello guys

I have a problem with my seat belts on a 74 challenger. When I go for a drive I have to slowly pull out the belt to put it in the latch or it will lock tight. once I do get it in the latch and start driving if I hit  a couple bumps or gas it a few times it locks really tight and I have to undo the belt and put it back on.

is there an aftermarket set that is not to sensitive?

I know the setup on the '74 is different but I imagine the mechanism is similar to my '73s.
 I was able to tweak the spring to help this situation.
