Up again, just installing the seats again after repainting the trunk.
For sure the two lower loops go inside that bracket, otherwise there wouldn't sit right/wrong. Today I looked and I can put screws in the any of the 3 lower holes. Maybe gives a little extra security in case of an accident (holds the rear seat in place).
BUT. I still have that ~1 inch area shown from the package tray, that I think should be hidden. I looked again on the brackets and the seat (the loops) are sitting as low as they can. For that means the brackets are a little to high, so that the rear seat cannot slip deeper. Didn't double check the upper brackets...
@publicbottle For me it makes no sense to put the lower loops outside/on top of the brackets. Is this what you have been done? Maybe this is the solution whith huge washers and a little screw.
Question for me: What was stock?
