70 and 71 attach differently. 72-74 just use short Philips head screws through the lip in the trim, into the bottom of the hood. 70 and 71 use clips in the trim that go through holes in the front edge of the hood...then nuts are installed onto the clips. You can physically use the 70-71 clips on the 72-74 hood trim but you only need short Philips head screws. The trim was installed prior to the car being painted so the hardware is body color.
