Jack and Spare Tire
« on: May 04, 2015 - 07:10:57 PM »
Hey Guys, I recently bought a 70 Challenger but am wondering the best way and most cost effective to get the jack, and spare tire assembly? Ive seen prices from classic industry and ebay but are there any other sources out there?

I found mine on eBay. Original, needed repainted but easy. The spare? Do you need a space saver? They are $$ and don't work very well. Most think it a trunk ornament.

as long as it's a 4 1/2 bolt circle, any rim will do.....AMC is the same too !

I found my space saver spare on ebay, its from a mustang. Bolt circle is the same, but the way the rim is made I dont think it will mount on my car properly, if at all. Ive never tried it, nor would I ever use it. Obviously....an ornament.
Also, pretty sure its the same actual tire and brand used in mopars, but the code on the tire is different. No one but purist nut judges will ever know.
I guess you could say my tribute has some ford dna in it, but its only along for the ride...in the trunk.  :smilielol:
