Post a picture of the seal at the back of the trans.  The stock seal has a dust boot at the end of it.  Some aftermarket seals don't have this extra dust boot.  Without that boot in place, it will LOOK like the driveshaft is short.  There was a guy on Moparts with this problem just a few weeks ago.  It LOOKED like he had the wrong shaft in the car but it was correct.  He was just missing the dust boot on the back of the seal.  Post a picture of what you have.

Ok, I'll post a pic of that later.

Today I tried to adjust my tach and wasn't carefull with the 12 volt positive wire.  It hit a ground post on the tach circuit board, and poof, fried the board.  There goes $75.  Maybe I'll get the one you can calibrate on the bench next time.  Man I'm pissed.  Oh well just a drop in the bucket right?

Good point. $75 is a drop in a very deep bucket. :violin:
