And she's out on the floor again
« on: May 24, 2015 - 10:18:24 AM »
:working:After 2 failed attempts at resealing the timing cover where it meets the oil pan and developing a rear main drip again - I pulled the engine and trans yesterday. Other than the heads they both have over 300 1/4 mile passes. The transmission will be sent to my rebuild division for a good going over and a new torque convertor. The engine will get a good reseal on a stand and a very close inspection of the bottom end then off to an engine dyno to get the #'s with the new heads.

Been a lot frustrating but this actually sets my mind at ease knowing they will both be tested on stands prior to going back in the car. Likely should have done this initially for the head install but.............

Be back on the street bike for a bit - she's been neglected lately and I kind of miss the rush.
