What is the red sealant on this wiper motor?
« on: May 27, 2015 - 06:29:23 AM »
On my way home from work, I stopped in at a local cruise night for the first time.  I had a chance to talk with the owner of an absolutely immaculate Charger R/T.   Since I had just pulled the wiper motor with its multiple colors of peeling paint and failing wires off my Challenger, I took a close look at his wiper motor.   What is the red stuff on the wiper transmission around the wires?   He had someone restore the car, so he couldn't tell me much about it.   I haven't paid that much attention to the details before, but the few wiper motors I've seen have been painted black so this one kind of stood out.

Yes, I will take pictures of the entire car next time.  It was interesting that there were plenty of GM and Ferds there.... the few Mopars present were all parked together.   The few, the proud...
