70 challenger value

Found a 70 challenger appears to be a 6 cylinder manual trans car that now has a 78 440 auto in its place. What is a car like this worth. It needs trunk floor and possible quarters. The floors seem solid.  What would be the value of a car like this restored with a 440 in it even if it is a 6 cylinder car. I would like to hear what you guys have to say. is it worth building or not. Should I wait for a 440 car or just buy this project that use to be a 6 cylinder.

The car sounds like a decent starting point for a 440 tribute car.  With out pictures pricing for a project car will range from $5/6 thousand dollars all the way up to 15/20 thousand dollars depending on a LOT of different variables.  As you described it, it sounds like a 5/10 thousand dollar car.

As for what they are worth when done, again depend on a LOT of things, such as the level of details put into any particular vehicle. A true 440 car will out value a \6 changed to a 440 almost every time. tribute cars with 440 seems to fall into the 20/40 thousand dollar range.

Don't underestimate the worth of clones. But you have to be very careful if parts are missing from the car. There are many little parts that are almost always missing from these cars. These parts could put the restoration cost to the skies... You calculate the costs and decide.
